A year round destination
The mild all year round climate allows visitors to indulge in the best of the Algarve from January to December. Restaurants, nightlife and entertainment is plentiful and varied in Luz and nearby Lagos. The beautiful area of Praia da Luz is set in a long sheltered bay with a breath taking back drop of colourful cliffs, and a fine sandy beach. Previously a small fishing village, it has tastefully expanded over the years to provide an abundance of bars, restaurants and mini markets, various shops and a pharmacy. The resort is popular with families, who enjoy its sheltered waters and safe surroundings. Praia da Luz is excellent for water sports and a number of other great beaches and within easy reach.
