Behind the Square in Ferragudo lies a labyrinth of old cobbled alleyways meandering up the hill to the town's church from where panoramic views extend over the estuary to the famous 17th century Fort "St. Catarina". A selection of fine seafood restaurants line the Ferragudo harbour front often visited by yachtsmen from all over the world for a spot of lunch. Here you can watch your chosen seafood prepared and cooked on an open BBQ. whilst watching the local fishermen bringing home their catch of the day. These restaurants are situated in an excellent position to sit and watch the beautiful evening sunset over Portimao whilst enjoying a glass of chilled local wine. he apartments are a five minute walk to the peaceful Angrinha beach and another 5 minutes stroll to the larger beach of Praia Grande where you can soak up the sun and enjoy a drink or lunch at one of the beach bars. It is only 2km from Portimão, where you can take boat trips and jeep safaris.You can also visit Praia de Rocha where the clubs and bars stay open to the early hours, easily reached by taxi (€5-6).
