About Vilamoura>>

We are pleased to offer below some information including recommendations of places to eat and details of the local town, Quarteira.

Parking is available at the entrance or adjacent to the main entrance. There is a small supermarket and some shops in close proximity to the apartment. There are also some excellent value 'take-aways' and Restaurante Columbo is our favourite local restaurant for the evening. There are many places to eat in the Marina icluding chinese, indian and thai.

Quarteira is the local town (which used to be a small fishing village) and is only 15 minutes walk along the front or 5 minutes by car. There are some excellent fish restaurants, notably JACINTO, situated on the main avenue (where there are many interesting shops), BUZIOS and EL CARAVELA near the fish market. There is also a weekly gypsy market in Quarteira every Wednesday morning. The daily fish market and fruit and veg market on the sea front are certainly worth a visit. The Algarve and in particular Vilamoura, is undoubtedly one of the World's greatest golf destinations. There are six wonderful courses within a few minutes drive of the apartment.
